He’s telling us who he really is

Barack Obama is getting bolder about telling us he is not concerned with the Constitution in implementing his transformation process.  When he campaigned on “change” in 2008, people thought he meant change from George W. Bush.  They thought he would be a reality for the idealistic, that he would improve America as she was founded, that he was simply going in a different direction.  But they had no idea what he was talking about was changing the entire governing system of America.  What he meant was transforming the country from a flourishing, free, capitalistic society to one that would languish under huge increases in government power and restrictions on freedom.

“We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America,” he said just before the election.

The people had no idea what he meant when he said this.

They will soon find out if this healthcare bill passes.  It is choc full of socialist ideas that are meant to drive the private insurance industry out of business and put the government in charge of whether and when you get treated when you’re sick or injured.

Obama has talked openly about his dislike for the Constitution before.  Now, so close to a personal dream, he tells us more boldly that he doesn’t care what the document says, he wants his healthcare bill to become law.

In an interview with Fox News, the president is asked, “You’ve said at least four times in the past two weeks, the United States Congress owes the American people a final up-or-down vote on health care.  So do you support the use of the ‘Slaughter rule,’ the ‘deem-and-pass rule,’ so the Democrats avoid the straight up-and-down vote on the Senate bill?”

 And his answer?

“I don’t spend a lot of time worrying about what the procedural rules are in the House or the Senate.  What I can tell you is that the vote that’s taken in the House will be a vote for health care reform, and if people vote “yes”, whatever form that takes, that is going to be a vote for health care reform…[W]hatever they end up voting on, and I hope it’s going to be sometime this week, that it is going to be a vote for or against my health care proposal.  And that’s what matters and that’s what ultimately people are going to judge this on.”

Did you get that?  It is his healthcare bill.  The American people can take a hike.  This is what he wants and he’s not going to let the Constitution stand in the way.  He has just endorsed a procedure that is completely unconstitutional and illegal, if that’s what it takes.

America, are you awake?  If your slumber tarries your freedom may not be with you when you arise.
