Ah, don’t you just love drastic measures based on faulty data? Like taxing ourselves into oblivion because a few someones say the planet is going to heat up to the point we all die if we don’t. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Cap and Tax…er Trade…Ah what’s the difference?
If you’re struggling to make ends meet now, just wait until this takes effect. How would you like to pay almost twice as much for electricity? How about half-again as much to put gas in your car? Natural gas – same deal. Oh, but the best part? Sending the rest of the country’s manufacturing jobs overseas! Awesome, isn’t it?
And to think, most of this nonsense is based on data that suggests the temperature has heated up by one degree over the last century. How did they measure this you say? Well, it couldn’t be by thermometers placed near machines that give off warmth that might affect the readings…would it? Placings that violate the laws of where the thermometers should be placed…could it?
Yeah, it is. I don’t want to get too deeply into worldviews, but there are many who have no trouble with skewing data to show what they believe, because in their minds it is true, whether science proves it or not. So why not “make” science prove it, since that will convince some who would not be otherwise? Same with evolution. There is a laundry list of “icons” of the theory that were proved mistakes or hoaxes, some of which still make it into textbooks and help convince unsuspecting students of the theory’s “truth.”
What it is really ironic is that these same people yell at us, “You can’t argue with science!” Trouble is, they already have.
