But it gets worse:

Late last week, the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty announced it is suing the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on behalf of Belmont Abbey over a new mandate that would force the college to provide insurance plans for students and employees that cover procedures and prescriptions the college finds morally objectionable.

So it’s not just that the government is covering the cost of abortion, it is now forcing employers to provide these “services” through their offered insurance plans, even if doing so violates their religious principles.

Fulfilling a provision of Obamacare that requires coverage of “preventive services,” HHS adopted a rule in August that mandates nearly all insurance companies cover contraception and sterilization—without cost to the insured.

This will provide no small moral dilemma for many businesses, universities, and non-profit organizations.  Whether you believe the government should use taxpayer money to fund elective abortions is one thing, but can we all not agree that forcing an organization to violate its conscience by providing free access to it is wrong?

We are facing dark days in America.  Citizens, wake up!  Look into events on your own, without trusting the word of a reporter, or even a President!

“Make no mistake.  Allowing taxes to go up on all Americans would have raised taxes by $3,000 for a typical American family, and that could cost our economy well over a million jobs.”

Rush Limbaugh?  Charles Krauthammer?  John Boehner?  None of the above.  It was none other than President Barack Obama.  And now?  He says we have to raise taxes immediately.  And what effect will this have on the economy, which is certainly no better – if not worse – than it was in December?  It will no doubt make it worse yet.  When you raise taxes on business owners, you help further thwart job creation.

If we had an honest press, the public would see them ask Obama about his December comments, when he extended the Bush tax rates.  They would ask, “Why the sudden change of heart?”  or “Has the economy improved enough that we can safely raise taxes without putting it in further jeopardy?” or even “Were you wrong when you said what you did seven months ago?”  But, we do not have an honest press.  To say they are biased is a gross understatement.  They are in Obama’s corner.  And whatever he says at the moment, they will echo, with no criticism or skepticism.  And also, no memory.

There are a multitude of frightening stories already.  And here is one of them.

I maintain that for those in the government who passed the law, this was never about health care.  It was about control.

God help us if we do not change course.

It is absolutely no surprise.  Obama and his kind of liberals want gas prices high, in order to force Americans into using more “renewable” kinds of energy or use less energy altogether.  Obama has been quoted as saying he was not disappointed gas prices rose to the 4 dollar a gallon level in 2007, only that it got there so fast.

Obama’s Energy Secretary, Steven Chu, said in 2008: “Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.”

And they are well on their way.  The democrats in Congress helped get gasoline to the $4 mark initially by blocking attempts to drill domestically, making any drilling incredibly difficult, and putting burdensome and nonsensical regulations and taxes on oil companies.   Obama has single-handedly shut down oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, while financing oil drilling operations in Brazil. (No joke)

Get ready – gas prices probably won’t be going down any time soon.  And may I remind you who is hurt the most by this: the poor.  When the price of a necessity such as getting to and from work goes up, the ones with the least suffer the most.

Obama Administration Reportedly Plans to Create Internet ID for All Americans

“…[White House Cybersecurity Coordinator Howard] Schmidt stresses that anonymity will remain on the Internet, saying there’s no chance that “a centralized database will emerge.”

Suuuuuurrre it won’t.

I’m glad to see this happen.  One of the many troubling things the Obama administration has done is to appoint a number of “czars.”  These are positions with an unknown amount of power, none of which has been confirmed by the Senate.  Thus, they have no accountability to anyone but the President.  These positions may not be completely novel (I don‘t know), but the number of them certainly is.  Nearly 40 “czars” have been appointed by Obama.  To put it simply: It’s a power grab.  Obama wants as much power as he can have.  And now someone is standing up to him.  I hope they succeed in de-funding them.  If Obama wants to keep them, he can bring them before the Senate.
